No, I won’t
apologize and say what I’m sorry for. Not now, not today. In this post, I want
to share a few of my thoughts… And share what kind of people I feel sorry for.
In the last few months, I have a few more projects to work on and I realized a
few more of my good and bad sides. However, I also realized that there are some
qualities that I don’t tolerate and sometimes I feel sorry for some people – in
one way or another.
I feel sorry
for people who… hate animals. Okay, my opinion? You can’t love people, if you
can’t love animals. People who hurt animals will hurt a human being in some
way. Their aggression is something that is inside them and one day, it may show
up while fighting with their family or kids for example. Haters gonna hate! It doesn't matter if they hate animals or people. Sooner or later, the hate will
appear in their personal life.
I feel sorry
for people who… don’t respect the health of the others. By the way, in
Bulgaria, this is what everyone’s talking about the last few weeks. And I think
that this is a good thing, because people give their opinions. Well, of course,
I really disagree with all the people who think smoking is SO important. What I
mean? (with a few more details, because I guess not all of you know the current
situation about the smoking in Bulgaria) In every country, there are people who
smoke and who don’t – that’s obvious. According to the last statistics I saw,
the percent of non-smokers is higher and that I LIKE! Almost every country
around the Globe has a non-smoking rule for all public places and it’s so
ridiculous when an undeveloped country like ours, start with these again RIDICULOUS reasons why this should be allowed. And we should also consider the
fact that the so called rooms for smokers and non-smokers represent a glass
separating the same hall and basically the air is the same. And all this “But
what about our rights?” shit… Well, Mr Smoker – what about our health? I’m
sorry, but I have to say – the rights of the smokers end there where the nose
of the other guy begins. End of story.
I feel sorry
for people who… have the power to help and still… don’t do it. Here, I’m
talking more specifically for our project – the so called “Mission Zoo”. Here’s
the deal. In the beginning of the project, there were like 60-70 people that
agreed to help and to “donate” their time for the good of the animals. There
were like 10 people on our first initiative… And then another 10 raising funds
for two weeks, every day, all day… Then we start with the repairs and I was so
excited about everything. I thought that now, everyone will help, because this
was the more fun part of the project. Well, I was so wrong. In the beginning,
15 people came and on the next day we were 10… and then 5… and then 3… I can’t
judge the people who had a really good reason to skip helping some of the days.
But there are some people who were so excited about everything, gave me tips on
how should we manage the tasks, telling me how much they love animals and that
they even watch “Animal planet” every day and they’d love to work in the zoo
one day. Here, I quote one particular person, because I’m not that mad when
someone doesn't come one or two... or three days. I’m mad when someone is so
insolent and don’t know his right place. And then is another person (again, too
mad after that) telling me that he or she (I won’t specify) won’t participate,
because he or she is too busy (okay, I can take that) and then adding: “you
should not count on anyone, but yourself”. Okay, now I’m pissed. Almost
everywhere, you CAN’T enter a college/university without any voluntary or other
activities. I personally know people who went to Haiti to help, organizing
projects, even being a leader of a Starcraft team. EVERYTHING MATTERS! And
then… there are the Bulgarians (well, not all of them), explaining how
impossible is for them to help. Guys, I’m not saying this only because you
refused to help me. I’m saying this, because THIS will harm you in some way in
the future. You will say why you care about us… Good question – I don’t know, I
just do. And you should take that advice and think about it seriously. Think
about what you want to do with your future. Because it’s not all about finding
a good job and having a family, etc. Life is about making every second counts.
Life is about love, help others and happiness.
